Function
• Realize bidirectional energy conversion, which can invert the power of DC power sources such as batteries into AC power to power AC loads; it can also convert AC power into DC power to charge batteries or perform other DC energy storage operations.
Components
• Power conversion circuit: usually composed of switch tubes, transformers, rectifier diodes, etc., used to realize power conversion between DC and AC. The switch tube controls the on-off and conversion of electric energy, the transformer performs voltage conversion, and the rectifier diode rectifies AC power into DC power.
• Control circuit: including microcontroller (MCU), driver, etc. MCU is responsible for monitoring and controlling the entire inverter process, such as controlling the conduction time and frequency of the switch tube to achieve stable output voltage and power. The driver is used to amplify the control signal of the MCU and drive the switch tube to work.
• Detection circuit: contains current and voltage detection elements, such as Hall sensors, resistor divider networks, etc., real-time monitoring of input and output current and voltage, and providing feedback signals for the control circuit for precise control and protection.
• Protection circuit: It has functions such as overvoltage protection, overcurrent protection, overheat protection, and short circuit protection. For example, when the output voltage is too high or the current is too large, the protection circuit will act quickly to cut off the power supply to prevent equipment damage and safety accidents.
Working principle
• In the inverter mode, the control circuit controls the on and off of the switch tube through PWM (pulse width modulation) technology, converts the electric energy of the DC power supply into a high-frequency pulse voltage, and after the transformer boosts or steps down the voltage, it is converted into a stable AC output through the rectifier and filter circuit. In the charging mode, the AC power is converted into DC power after rectification and filtering. The control circuit adjusts the on time of the switch tube according to the battery status and charging requirements, and charges the appropriate DC power into the battery.
Design features
• High integration: Integrating circuits with multiple functions on a PCBA board reduces the size and complexity of the system and improves reliability.
• Heat dissipation design: Since heat is generated during the power conversion process, large-area copper plating, heat dissipation holes, heat sinks, etc. are usually used to enhance heat dissipation to ensure that the PCBA board works within the normal temperature range.
• Electromagnetic compatibility design: Reduce electromagnetic interference (EMI) through reasonable wiring, shielding measures and selection of appropriate components, while improving its own anti-interference ability, avoiding interference with other devices, and ensuring stable operation in complex electromagnetic environments.
